With the Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter), the Georg-Speyer-Haus is clearly committed to an appreciative and bias-free working environment. The Diversity Charter is an initiative to promote diversity in businesses and institutions under the aegis of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. We thus send a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in our professional world and express our appreciation for all employees regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender, religion and worldview, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation and social background.
Measures we already implement in the field of Diversity Management
- Fostering an organizational culture characterized by mutual respect and appreciation. We create the conditions for managers and employees to recognize, share and live these values. At the same time, they bear a special responsibility.
- Reviewing and ensuring that our HR processes reflect the diverse skills and talents of all employees as well as meeting our performance standards.
- We make the issues raised in the Charter part of our internal and external dialog.
Diversity Management is a interdisciplinary issue. The idea here is: An organizational culture in which diversity is practiced naturally enables all employees to contribute their potential in the best possible way. It also fosters the diversity of ideas or outputs that we represent as a research institute. More and more companies and institutions around the world are seeing these benefits: around 4,000 corporations, companies, public institutions, associations, foundations and organizations have now signed the Diversity Charter.
