Marie-Claire Badouin has acquired her degree in laboratory assistance as chemical assistant at Phillips-University Marburg, where she worked with Prof. Dr. Petersen in the pharmaceutical biology and gained theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology of the cultivation of plants invitro. Another 3 years she worked in molecular biology as laboratory technician with Prof. Dr. Roland Lill in the Institute for cytobiology and cytopathology, Marburg. Since 2020 Marie-Claire is responsible for targeting constructs cloning, construct validation in cell culture and mES clone screening at our Gene Editing Laboratory. She also performs CRISPR constructs cloning and genetic assays for mutation analysis. Marie-Claire sets up new PCR genotyping protocols and sequencing to screen clones and newly established lines.
Dr. Zhaodai Bai
Dr. Zhaodai Bai is a staff scientist. Zhao has gained his doctoral degree in Department of Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Shandong University (China). He has completed his postdoctoral study on the odorant receptor genes during differentiation of the multipotent cell lines ex vivo in Max Planck research unit for neurogenetics, Frankfurt am Main, with Peter Mombaerts, Ph.D, M.D. Zhao brings his experience in stem cell culturing and in embryo techniques. In TCF he is responsible for mES targeting and clonal cell line generation for chimera models.
As Transgenic Core Facility Specialist, Sandy Eckhardt orchestrates all operations with TCF researchers and inter-laboratory scientists. The execution of microinjections (pronuclear & blastocysts), cryopreservation, in vitro fertilization (IVF) as well as mouse colony management and genotyping are also part of her field of research responsibilities.
