PD Dr. rer. nat. Henner Farin took up his appointment as Heisenberg Professor (W2) for “Experimental Model Systems in Tumor Biology” at the Institute of Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy at the Georg-Speyer-Haus on January 1, 2025. This is a joint appointment by Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, with which Prof. Farin will carry out his research activities at the Georg-Speyer-Haus. Following a successful application to the Heisenberg Program of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the position will be funded for up to 5 years and will enable Prof. Farin to further develop his successful research on tumor microenvironment and organoid models in colorectal cancer.
