About us

Our institute was founded in 1904 as the private foundation Chemotherapeutisches Forschungsinstitut Georg-Speyer-Haus to create a research site for Paul Ehrlich, the first director of Georg-Speyer-Haus. 

At today’s Georg-Speyer-Haus, Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, oncological research is conducted. Our goal is to better understand the molecular and cellular basis of tumor development and to find new approaches for cancer therapy.
