Ecological Sustainability
At Georg-Speyer-Haus, we are aware of the impact of scientific research on the environment and see it as our task to raise awareness and make our contribution to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was adopted by the UN in 2015. In research, our focus is not only on medical progress, but also on the responsible use of resources. The Georg-Speyer-Haus continuously strives to integrate environmentally friendly processes into its workflows. This starts with the energy-efficient equipment in our laboratories and extends to the reduction of waste in our research facilities. By using modern technology and sustainable methods of resource use, we aim to minimize our ecological footprint without compromising scientific excellence. The two largest laboratories are certified by “My Green Lab” and further working groups will follow.
