Ombuds Person
The Georg Speyer House provides its researchers with an independent ombuds person who acts as a neutral and qualified contact person for questions regarding good scientific practice and suspected scientific misconduct.
The ombuds person receives all inquiries in strict confidence and, if necessary, forwards justified cases of suspected scientific misconduct to the responsible investigation committee. To ensure their independence, the ombuds person is not a member of the institute's management or the investigation committee during their term of office.
All inquiries are treated neutrally and strictly confidentially. The ombuds person contributes to conflict mediation wherever possible, while maintaining the necessary discretion.
In addition, employees have access to the national body “Ombudsman for Science”: www.ombudsman-fuer-die-wissenschaft.de
