Marie-Claire Badouin

Marie - Claire Badouin has acquired her degree in laboratory assistance as chemical assistant (Chemielaborantin) in Phillips Universität Marburg, where she worked with Prof. Dr. Petersen in the pharmaceutical biology and gained theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology of the cultivation of plants invitro. She has attained 3-year work experience in molecular biology as laboratory technician with Prof. Dr. Roland Lill in the Institute for cytobiology and cytopathology, Marburg. Marie joined GSH in April 2020 and today is a member of Gene Editing Laboratory. Marie is responsible for targeting constructs cloning, construct validation in cell culture and mES clone screening. She also performs CRISPR constructs cloning and performs genetic assays for mutation analysis. Establishing new PCR genotyping protocols and sequencing is part of the daily work for Marie; she uses them for screening clones and newly established lines.

Aditi Patel

Aditi Patel acquired her M.Sc. degree in Molecular Bioscience at the University of Heidelberg with specialization in cell and molecular biology. She obtained her B.Tech. degree in Biotechnology in India with her thesis focused on site-directed mutagenesis for rescuing a mutant leading to cystic fibrosis. During her Master thesis, Aditi worked on establishing tissue-specific ribosome-profiling in C.elegans applying CRISPR/Cas9 for C.elegans genome editing under the supervision of Dr. Carmen Nussbaum-Krammer at Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie (ZMBH), Heidelberg. Aditi joined Transgenic Core Facility in 2018. She is carrying out scientific tasks in molecular biology and murine stem cell culture, embryology and mouse work. Apart from that she is responsible for lab management and documentation.
