Dominic Menger studied Applied Biology for Medicine and Pharmacy at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein. In his bachelor thesis he investigated inflammation-induced changes in megakaryocytes and platelets in the group of Prof. Dr. Klaus Scholich at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology at the University Hospital of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Then he studied the master’s degree in molecular medicine at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. In the master’s thesis in the working group of Dr. Lisa Sevenich he examined the role of colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2) on macrophages and microglia in a breast-to-brain metastasis model. Starting his doctoral thesis in the group of Dr. Lisa Sevenich in May 2021, Dominic will focus on the role and formation of lymphatic vessels in the recruitment of T cells in brain metastases.
