In the organizational chart we visually depict the responsible persons in their positions at the Georg-Speyer-Haus Research Institute. The institute structure is as follows: The Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy is supported by the non-profit Georg-Speyer-Haus Foundation. The day-to-day business of the foundation is managed by the Executive Board, which is responsible in this activity to the Board of Trustees and the Scientific Advisory Board. The Executive Board consists of the Executive Director, Prof. Dr. med. Florian Greten, the Deputy Director, Prof. Dr. Winfried Wels, and the Head of Administration, Franziska Hasslinger-Pajtler. Together with our 3 Research Areas, 3 Core Facilities, the TCF as well as the Laboratory and Hygiene Management, the Administration are built on these three columns. The latter ensures the smooth running of all our processes by maintaining the entire institute under the direction of Franziska Hasslinger-Pajtler. The laboratory management is ensured by Hana Kunkel, who is in charge of laboratory standards and safety at work. Transgenic Core Facility (TCF) provides a centralized resource for precisely targeted genome editing technologies and is headed by Dr. Phillip Grote. Flow Cytometry, which provides cell sorting and cell analysis services, is managed by Dr. Stefan Stein. Histological samples are processed by currently Petra Dinse. Please find detailed information about our 3 Research Areas Cellular Communication in the Stem Cell Niche, Cell-Cell Interactions in the Tumor Stroma and Experimental Therapy on our research sites.
